Playtime with purpose
We’re obsessed with knowing more and building the best.
Our goal is to help every parent feel confident. Our play products are designed by child development experts and distilled to their simplest, purest purpose: to be exactly what children need at each stage.
The creation of Lovevery began with Jessica, Rod and an idea.
Jessica- Passionate about giving babies the best and healthiest beginning in life. As founding partner, she helped to build Happy Family into a top organic baby food company. Confident that she was giving her babies the best nutrition, she started to become curious about what each of her three children’s brains were craving.
Rod- A builder of companies and movements with environmental and social impact. He was masterful at making things happen and generating results. Meanwhile, Rod was experiencing fatherhood times two, with his twins!
Jessica and Rod have known, trusted, and respected each other for many years. Rod is married to Andrea, Jessica’s life long best friend.
The idea behind Lovevery began after Jessica read a doctoral dissertation titled Current Research Findings on the Neurological Development of Infants. (Such a nerd, right?)
Through reading the study Jessica learned that the human brain has about 100 billion nerve cells, all of which are present at birth but have few links between them. Babies brains develop by constructing an intricate communication network. The network’s structure is formed by experiences children have in the first 3 years of life. The research revealed the more you expose babies to how the world works, the richer the neural networks become. Jessica’s takeaway was that early development experiences wouldn’t just happen on their own, she had to create them.
Jessica wanted to share what she had learned with other parents. This desire gave her the idea to create a second baby company, this time focused on brain development. The hard part would be bringing that idea to reality, she would need help. The moment that Rod said that he would co-found the company, it all became real!
Jessica and Rod created Lovevery, a company that offers products and information which help create developmental experiences in the lives of new babies and families. Lovevery helps parents feel confident that they are giving their little ones just what they want and need every step of the way.

I Launched a Subscription Box Service of Educational Toys for Babies
After watching the way my baby interacted with his toys, I realized he could benefit from subscription boxes dedicated to toys and kits that help grow his developing mind—and your baby can, too.
Lovevery Makes Shopping For Baby Toys a Breeze
Keeping your growing baby busy and entertained in the first year isn’t always easy. Toys get chewed and tossed aside quickly and it can be hard to know what your baby will be interested in during these early days, but one company is trying make things a little easier. Lovevery is a subscription box for baby toys curated by child development experts and it’s going to change the way you shop.
Lovevery has developed six different Play Kits each tailored to a baby’s developmental stage. The kits, comprised of non-toxic, sustainable and organic play things have been put together by experts and tested with real families across the country.
Each box also comes packed with a play guide that describes how to play with each item and gives ideas for other activities parents can try to engage their babies at each stage. The kits are available for order now through Lovevery.
Lovevery Introduces The Play Kits, a System of Science-based Products and Guidance for Babies
Today, Lovevery introduces The Play Kits, a subscription program of science-based, non-toxic products and guidance for baby’s first year. Applying the same design philosophy and aesthetic that earned the brand a Red Dot Award earlier this year for The Play Gym, their goal is to give parents the right products and information, grounded in child development science, and delivered at just the right time.
What Are the Best Baby Play Mats?
Rebecca Parlakian, senior director of programs at child-development organization Zero to Three, called play mats “a ‘one-stop shop’ for infant playtime, offering babies a range of sensory experiences — sights, sounds and textures — as they play.”
The Lovevery play mat comes with a variety of toys that can be attached to its removable, sustainably-sourced wood legs, like a black and white ball for grasping and rolling, and BPA-free silicone teething rings. “Five different development zones encourage baby to explore sensory activities and strengthen baby’s ability to focus,” said Neuman, “and, thanks to the fold-out flaps, each can be revealed or concealed based on baby’s age — perfect for avoiding overstimulation.” This is especially important for those early months when, according to Parlakian, “babies have a more limited ability to manage their attention and cope with sensory input.”
I got my newborn daughter a play gym that helps babies develop fine motor skills and improve concentration — and she loves it
The first time we laid our infant daughter down upon the soft mat included with the Lovevery Play Gym and watched her eyes move to each of the three hanging toys — a crinkly fabric toy, a wooden clacker-style instrument, and a plush ball, for the record — we seemed to have found a winner. During the subsequent weeks, she has enjoyed hours of tummy time, playing with pattern cards, looking at colors, and hearing all sorts of different sounds and feeling different textures.
